Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: July 2026. This policy explains how billing, cancellations, and refunds work for paid Deckly subscriptions, operated by Deckly ("we"). It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans (Plus and Pro) are recurring subscriptions billed through PayFast. Prices are displayed in US dollars on our pricing page and charged in South African Rand (ZAR) at the conversion rate applied at checkout. Monthly plans renew every month and annual plans renew every year, automatically, until you cancel.
Cancelling your subscription
- You can cancel at any time from Settings - Billing, or by emailing support@getdeckly.com.
- Cancelling stops all future renewals. Your paid features remain active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, after which your account reverts to the Free plan.
- We do not delete your decks or data when you downgrade; usage above the Free plan limits may become read-only until you upgrade again.
Refunds
Because Deckly is a digital service delivered immediately, fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or as set out below:
- Duplicate or incorrect charges: if you are billed in error or charged more than once, we will refund the affected amount in full.
- Service failure: if a paid feature is unavailable for a prolonged period due to a fault on our side, contact us and we will consider a pro-rata refund or credit.
- Cooling-off / statutory rights: where the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, or other applicable South African law grants you a cooling-off or refund right, we honour it.
- Renewals: we do not automatically refund a renewal charge, so please cancel before your renewal date if you do not wish to continue. If a renewal caught you by surprise, contact us promptly and we will review it in good faith.
How to request a refund
Email support@getdeckly.com from the address on your account with your transaction reference (from your PayFast receipt) and the reason for the request. We aim to respond as soon as reasonably possible. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via PayFast and may take time to appear, depending on your bank and payment method.
Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first - we can usually resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Repeated or fraudulent chargebacks may result in suspension of your account.
